Alternative rap artist/producer Ashley Deyj is back with some more material from her stash. 3 tracks to be precise that span across a couple of years showcasing her experimental approach to hip-hop

The first cut is a collaborative song titled “Black Coffee” and it features Duane Lux. The track has an anthemic feel with the cinematic horn stabs and the duo come through with hard-hitting bars in tandem. There really is no hook for this one, just pure lyricism delivered in the most concentrated manner.

“Black Beauty” is the second song on the menu and it focuses on Deyj’s raw vocals over a soft guitar-driven backdrop. The whole production sounds like a demo but the song premise is insightful and profound as it explores life as a minority trying to make a way out of the craziness of the world.

“Dig Deep” is the last song and explores her femininity and background as she gives the listenr a glimpse into what makes her tick. Over a triumphant beat, she once again displays her eclectic style of rhyming that is multi-layered and insightful.
