UK emcee AKS breaks his 4-year hiatus with a brand new inspirational single “Up & Up (Heavens Above)”  and shows that he hasn’t missed the pep in his step. The track is bolstered by a smooth soulful texture that serves as the perfect canvas for AKS insightful lyrics and fiery flow.

AKS doesn’t hold back and touch on several topics that relate to growth, human ambitions, and the need to have the determination to go on. Lyrics like “Some man will give up everything and find it’s never enough/We always fake it till you make it that’s a genuine bluff/And you might hate the things I say but know I said’em with love” aim to prick minds and for the most part serves as a wake-up call to everyone trying to get out of the doldrums.

“Up & Up (Heavens Above)” is the first single taken from his forthcoming project As Plane As Day: Departures & Arrivals, which concludes the wordsmith’s three-part ‘Modes of Transport’ series, the record sees the rapper award himself production credits under the veiled moniker #3Letters, whilst enlisting the collaborative efforts of prominent musicians Adrian Remedy (Ed Sheeran) on guitars, Benjamin Muralt (LedisiIll CamillePixie Lott) on bass, and AdeKeys (AfroB) on keyboards.
