The Notorious CPU and Stræpa deliver an “Easy Breeze” to our eardrums. From the soothing horn riffs, slick piano chords, and warm vibes, the duo craft a wholesome, reflective piece for us to rock with. Prime Night enters the fray with “Spirit Walk,” a moody piece with nocturnal chords, ethereal pads and soft drums that come together to create a soothing atmospheric ambience. “Postcards” by Kimoji is a mellow, reflective piece featuring plucky keys, airy textures, and slick guitar plucks that work in harmony. The producer Nine Tales leads us on a “Shinjuku Stroll” in their latest effort. The track has a scenic vibe and is punctuated by excellent sound design with soulful elements that blend lofi and boombap/soul in a seamless process. Quist fires up the “Oxytocin” in this brilliant track. The musical arrangement is sparse, spacey, and creates a soul-gripping depth, ripe with soft chords, pads, and mellow guitar riffs. South Korean producer Ahntow prepares “ashes” for us to work with. The track is a laidback, solemn piece that evokes sad memories. Australian musician Della Sol Quintet takes us on “On the wild side” with this experimental soul/jazz ensemble. The horns are prominent, and the soft tones and bass-laden grooves all work in harmony. Alexander IV caught our attention with “All I Have to Say,” a mid-tempo track that highlights his sampling prowess. From recurring vocal chops and jazz motifs that add a cinematic stamp to a solid bass-driven groove, the producer delivers a layered and dynamic track that is dope from start to finish. The 85 decibel Monks tap into the roots of hip-hop culture with “Square One Hop,” an offbeat alternative boombap/jazz/funk piece that is progressive, dynamic and layered. A classic drum break forms the foundation, while the layered instrumentation is improvised. Confidence and J Ferra take us on a cool ride with the “Headlights” on. Built on a steady headnodding drum groove, the producers layer soulful sample chops and a lush guitar riff with a soft vocal hum to create a warm, inviting and cinematic ambiance perfect for a breezy afternoon cruise towards downtown. Musicians Fred Paci and David Walke gift our ears with an uplifting collaboration titled “Here Now.” The modern jazz/soul/hiphop infused offering features shimmering textures, sublime trumpet arrangements underpinned by slick guitar riffs and a warm bassline-laden groove.
