Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we look at some exceptional visuals from various acts around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades, through the 90s and 2000s, and it has taken flight from multi-million dollar budget music videos to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but highlight some creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Southside Ice x Milo Maestro x JP Caruzzo x Conway x DJ BLKLUOS – “OVERDRIVE”
Southside Ice , Milo Maestro , JP Caruzzo , Conway , and DJ BLKLUOS team up for “OVERDRIVE,” a hard-hitting posse cut that is ripe with no-holds-barred rapping. The visual is a blend of performance shots, various clips and lyrics as well.
Markus Burns – “Think Twice”
Singer/songwriter Markus Burns shares visuals for his new single “Think Twice,” a heartfelt R&B/hiphop infused cut that explores regret in loving the wrong person. Armed with his expressive vocal runs and vivid songwriting, Burns takes audiences deep into the action as he reminisces on his mistakes and how he felt betrayed and left in the cold after pouring his heart for a past flame. The visuals blend performance shots with cinematic set pieces that captures the singe rin his element.
Max Dena x Westside Boogie x J.D. Piper – “HOMEGROWN”
“HOMEGROWN” by Max Dena is a laidback, inisghtful jam that aims to lift us out of the doldrums. Over a smooth piano loop, warm textures and soft grooves, Max Dena recruits Westside Boogie and J.D. Piper to join him to share their thoughts on taking things easy after a loss. Inspired by the communal unity after the fires, the trio carry on the spirit of teamwork with a bit of that homegrown to soothe their souls. The accompanying visual is a performance-based affair shot in black and white.
Odeal – “London Summers”
UK-based artist Odeal taps into the warm vibes with his latest jam “London Summers” which sees him basking in the much needed sun and having a good time. The visuals are a perfect representation of the magical euphoria from the sun rays and Odeal’s genre-bending musical style that blends smooth R&B/soul with a touch of Afrofusion sounds. The track is produced by Shae Jacobs and Jack Dine.
Ebubé – “Foresight”
British singer/songwriter Ebubé unveils his new single “Foresight” with an acocmpanying visual. The electic artist brings a refreshing take on modern R&B and the result is an atmospheric and soothing ballad that explores vulnerability and acceptance. The visuals blends various clips of the singer, from live performances, rehearsals and personal clips together as he travels around the globe.
Aloe Blacc – “Immortal” by Aloe Blacc and 2ŁØT
Grammy-nominated multi-talented Aloe Blacc and 2ŁØT team up for “Immortal,” a heartfelt electronic/soul piece that explores this fleeting thing called life. The track is inspired by the famous ancient philosophical concept of memento mori, a reminder that we must all die but Aloe Blacc’s message is for us to live as much as we can before we go. The production has a contemporary pop sound with subtle electronic pulses and of course Aloe Blacc’s signature vocals that rises to a plateau as the song progresses.
2ŁØT is a five-piece band known for combining elements of hip hop, soul, funk, jazz, rock, and electronic music. Comprised of members Rudy Love Jr. (vocals / keys), Omar Jawar (drums), Sage Judd (keys), Chase Koch (guitar), and Robert Trusko (bass).
Kingdom Kome – “Cracks In The Foundation”
Kingdom Kome exposes the “Cracks In The Foundation” in his latest release. Once again, he teams up with his longtime colaborator RUEN who laces him with a solemn piano-driven backdrop brimming with nostalgia and a headnodding groove. Kingdom Kome comes through with an engaging discourse on the current state of affairs. From uncertainty, loss, growth and more, he pens a thoughtful message for the youth because he still believes. The accompanying visual uses engaging cut scenes, performance shots and dissolve effects to thread everything together.
“Cracks In the Foundation” is the first leak from the Barrel Reserve LP fully produced by RUEN.
Kardinal Offishall – “LET EM OUT”
Veteran Canadian rapper/songwriter Kardinal Offishall is still handing out the verbal beat downs as he returns to the forefront with “LET EM OUT.” The modern dancehall/hiphop infused jam serves as the first leak from Kardinal’s forthcoming EP , Everyday, Sometimes. The production is boisterious, punchy and cinematic which is perfect for Kardinal’s energetic style that blends raw unfiltered bars peppered with dancehall-toasting cadences. The visuals are well-crafted too and help add that extra fire to the track with its engaging set-pieces and performance shots.
Young Sleep x Royal Flush – “Remission”
Rochester’s Young Sleep and Queen’s governor Royal Flush team up for “Remission,” a heartfelt piece that explores grace, reflection and the value of life. Insired by Royal Flush’s recent victory over Cancer, Young Sleep decided to pen a tribute to the OG and everyone who might be going through similar situations. Both emcees share their thoughts on the matter with insightful verses that give audiences a glimpse into what life entails. For the visuals, we see both Young Sleep and Royal Flush in the cut as they step into the forefront doing what they do best. “Remission” will appear on the forthcoming Sleep City 3 Mixtape to drop on July 25th.
Jordan Hawkins – “Off Them Drugs”
Singer/songwriter Jordan Hawkins’ latest release “Off Them Drugs” is a heartfelt ballad that dives into relationship drama and the complexity involved especially when elements like drugs are included. Inspired from his experience, he touches on the delicate issue between two couples who can’t seem to resolve their problems and how uncontrolled substances can depreciate proper communication. The track is a guitar-driven soul-rock infused piece that showcases Hawkins’ rich vocal style and vivid songwriting skills and the visuals is an hypnotic and cinematic flick that captures the psychedelic vibe that comes from being under the influence.
