London-born and bred, Jamaican/Grenadian singer/songwriter Summer Pearl released her debut EP Only Child in 2019. She proceeded to work on a handful of singles, collaborations and a 2 track EP in 2020 and now she is presently working on her third project. In the meantime, she shares the single “what you want”, a heartfelt love ballad that explores true desire for that special someone. Over the dreamy piano riffs and warm pads, she details how she wants to please her partner with everything she has got. The track is definitely the perfect soundtrack for that special time with that special someone.

“what you want” is taken from her forthcoming mixtape outmysystem which will be released on the 17th of November. The mixtape promises to be her most ambitious and accomplished project to date, complete with guest appearances from UK music royalty, including an enchanting feature from soul and reggae luminary Liam Bailey and heavyweight productions from broken beat virtuoso Kaidi Tatham. Throughout, Summer blends a deep appreciation for soul, dub, reggae, hip-hop and jazz to create her own distinct and refreshing sound on the deeply personal and heartfelt mixtape.
