As Yury drops his new EP Here We Are, he delivers 2 singles for us to dive into as he continues to showcase his moody experimental style of music.

The first cut “Contemplative” sure plays into the title with it’s ominous and moody backdrop made up of a weird wobbly synth and ominous pads. Yury comes forth with his breathy flow and calculated lyrics that sometimes feel like he is talking to the listeners. He also does away with a traditional chorus for good measure and serves a straight bar fest from start to finish.

“Perfect” is Yury showing off his sound design skills and production prowess. The beat here is very dynamic and cinematic with its swirling pads, layered sequences, and hard-hitting drums to match.
