Malta-based UK singer Nick Barrett takes us back with this retro-tinged r&b cut titled “Old Friends.” From the moment you hit the play button, the nostalgic texture of the beat hits like a cool fresh breeze as Barrett takes ample time to catch up with his friends. Armed with a characteristic and soulful vocal style, his melodies show his influences from r&b luminaries such as Craig David and Robin Thicke to name a few.

The singer is also hands-on when it comes to his music as he produced the song. He recently released his debut album Minor 7th which was produced entirely self-produced with features from Shana Pearson.

Based in Malta and originally hailing from Sheffield – UK, Nick Barrett has been singing professionally since the age of 16 and writing and producing music for over 18 years. Nick’s aim is to bring back authentic music, melodies and beats that make your head nod and that you can really vibe to.
