The Push is Raashan Ahmad first album….released last year….Raashan has very inventive Flow and and has great structure & knowledge. He unleashes it on on a variety of styles From Soca, Reggae, Soul & a bit of Rock (Track 4 – Weight) with ease.

City Feel Proud (Track 2) has a Collab with Chali 2na from Jurassic 5, and the beat is almost hypnotic, I couldn’t imagine anybody better then Chali to flow over this one.

If I (Track 3) has that smooth Soul Jazz beat

Heavenboud (Track #8) A nice Electronica feel to this one…and once again Raashan flow is on point.

Give Thanks (Track 7) & Peace (track 13) & Heavenbound (above) are the best tracks in the album in my view..

The album has wide range of producers and that’s what makes it so interesting and good…there’s something for everyone here.

Overall the Push is full of passion and it’s albums like this that help to keep Hip-Hop moving forward…
