Chicago hip hop veterans Typical Cats have released a new video for the track ‘Bitter Cold’, off their latest album 3. The album is a refreshing blast from the past with classic flows from the likes of emcees Qwazaar, Qwel, Denizen Kane and producer DJ Natural. Typical Cats cemented their place in hip hop with there self-titled album back in 2001 with witty flows and raw, hard hitting production.

The group hasn’t stopped with last years release of 3 on Galapagos 4 Records. The track ‘Bitter Cold’ is a solo heater from Qwel and is somewhat reminiscent to ‘Qweloquiallisms’. It’s clearly seen that they haven’t slowed down at all. It wont stop!

Qwel rasps like a man knocking at the lid of his coffin. He examines the rampant nihilism of post-Keef Chicago while sparring pugilistic drums and a swirling zydeco sample.
