The 85 decibel Monks is a collective of several producers and musicians from the Iowa City area. Spearheaded by Mr Tack a.k.a. Tack-Fu and Grover Beats, their new track “Thumbprint” is a testament to the layered style of production offered by the group. They bring in musicians such as Cassius Goens who adds some rollicking drums, Shawn Akbar who comes through with the sax while Grover Beats does his thing on the keys to bring it home.
