2nd Exit is the musical project spearheaded by UK artists emcee Lester Duval and Alfa Mist. The duo is currently working on their new project All Out. In the meantime, they team up with Imaginary Friend (formerly of alternative Hip Hop outfit Strangelove) for this new single titled “Trippin”. Bolstered by mellow neo soul/jazz soundscapes made up of solemn keys, soothing textures and steady bassline-driven drums, the emcees deliver a gripping performance ripe with mind-bending lyrics like “By the powers of Kismet/ Watching faces vanish off the pictures hanging in this house of mirrors” that further explore the deepest psychedelic regions of the mind.

“Trippin” is taken from 2nd Exit’s forthcoming project All Out, which is set for an October 2023 release. The 5 track project pairs experimental jazz, and chill-hop with Soulquarians-esque drums and dark sky, dystopian atmospheres.
