Nothing like some new head snapper for the weekend in the form of this banging cut from The Movement Fam. After dropping the Basket Ball themed Swish a minute ago, they return with yet another collaboration titled Gap In The Bridge with Crossword. Built on a indiscernible vocal sample and thumping drums, the trio lace up their verbal straps and let loose their thoughts on taking their craft beyond their present state.

A solid one if I may say. Are we expecting a new project soon? Well let’s wait and see. Hit the play button and get with the program.

About:

Sometimes all you need is an outsider’s perspective to see things from an alternate angle. When Cee and Notion moved from their native Melbourne, Australia literally across the planet to Toronto, Canada, they planned on becoming the artists who brought that change.

When Cee headed east to Montreal a couple years later, the focus grew to bridging the gap between the 416 and the 514 and it’s this metaphorical gaping hole that the boys – along with Toronto’s Crossword – speak about on “Gap In The Bridge“.

Produced by Notion, the Arabesque neck-snapper channels J. Dilla via the muffled Middle Eastern vocal sample and tough boom bap drums, while Cross, Cee and Notion break down the challenges of trying to expand and grow beyond their current borders. Serial TMF collaboratorDigital Junkie comes correct with the vocal cuts on the hook, exclusively sampling some of the dopest female MCs to ever touch a mic.

Gap In The Bridge” was recorded, mixed and mastered by Notion at Illnote Studios, Toronto, Canada.
