Zaena & Jason Maek are back with the “Freshman” (Official Music Video).
The dynamic duo Zaena & Jason Maek return in the new year with a smooth joint titled “Freshman”. Always aiming for something different, the duo goes for a more mellow vibe on this new tune as they detail a blossoming romance between two individuals who met at a party and eventually share their first intimate experience. The visual captures a minimalistic vibe and doesn’t go overboard with its aesthetics, it is very bright, colorful but also leaves enough room for the viewer’s imagination. Always hands-on with their music, the video was directed by Maek himself.
Zaena x Jason Maek has become one of the fastest rising music duos. Their signature sound mixes hip-hop, dance, and pop into a chart-topping sound that spawned hits like the upcoming single ‘Get To Work’. Bending the boundaries of mainstream music, their productions delicately blend a very unique skillset of harmonic vocals and hard-hitting rap lyrics. The Lybia born vocalists and Chicago native rapper put egos aside to create a sound that is refreshing in the current state of music.
