Philadelphia-bred, Brooklyn-based singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Greg Matthews professionally known as Yellow Shoots breaks loose the visual for his song “Everything”. The cosmic funk styled production is evident from the onset with its swirling atmospheric synths, fluttering guitars and expressive vocal performance.

The cinematic visual was directed by Nathaniel Stevens takes the viewer into an unorthodox alternate world where a man goes on a perilous journey and is continually haunted by ghosts of his imagination. The visual slowly builds with its abstract motifs and atmospheric vibes and ultimately shows how the man in question can’t escape himself or his past.

“Everything” is the title track from his recently released LP. The full-length album from the musical polymath and alt-soul force follows the 2015 release of his seminal More Alive EP and the more recent Stormy Weather EP, which debuted in 2017. Informed by love, loss and the chromatic sensory experience of synesthesia, Yellow Shoots leads with immense swagger and lends the electricity coursing through his veins to everything – a body of work that translates the wild heart beating on his sleeve. The LP was composed, arranged and performed entirely by Yellow Shoots himself. The other contributors include Devin Collins  who contributed drums to “wildfire” and “make it to summer.” Ben Hoffman played keys on “magic on my pillow,” and Jason Matthews who added synths to the project.
