I’ve got a real respect and appreciation for creative minds and Xolisa is right up there with them. The Canadian MC has a solo show going on in Toronto in her homeland on April 10th, and this here serves up as a teaser for it. It’s simple – a profile, almost, of an acapella of her track ‘A Beautiful Mind’ – but captivating, and demonstrates exactly what she’s about. Intense, but it’s all good.
On December 4th, 2013, Toronto emcee and producer, Xolisa, dropped her debut-self produced EP entitled, “A Beautiful Mind”.
Fast forward to the present day, as the Canadian native is preparing to bring to her city her first solo show on April 10th, named after the EP’s last track, “A Beautiful Moment”, the emcee drops the first set of visuals to accompany the project.
As a collaboration project with Urban Evolution Entertainment’s, “YYZ Hilightz”, as a part of their “Innovators of Culture” March series, Xolisa brings to us an up close and extremely personal a cappella performance of the EP’s first single,“A Beautiful Mind”, which stands as a powerful introduction to the song’s official music video, which also drops in April (shot, directed and edited by Erik Flowchild).
