Every year, for International Women’s Day, we shine a spotlight on hip-hop’s better half by dedicating an entire overnight of radio program to the Women in Hip-Hop.

This year is our 6th Annual Women in Hip-Hop Spectacular, in conjunction with DOPEfm.

We have exclusive interviews with some amazing artists including the very first rapper to ever make it out of Canada, Michie Mee. We celebrate the 25th Anniversary of her debut album.

We talk to one of my all-time favourite emcees, Eternia. And we also kick it with pHoenix Pagliacci, DJ Mel Boogie, Keep Rocking You (B-girl organization) , and Adria Kain.

We have two female guest deejays. DJ T-jr does it big in a mixset focusing on female-fronted hip-hop. We also talk with her, Chris Jay, and Jae The Lyoness in a roundtable panel.

We time travel back to 1980 and look at all of the female voices you could hear in the second year rap music was recorded.

It’s a huge show for the 6th Annual Women in Hip-Hop Spectacular!
