Fort Collins, Colorado-based rapper/songwriter Tuck Nuisance enters the music industry with his debut project Burden To The World. The 14-track body of work explores his life from childhood to adulthood and the events that shaped him along the way. The project showcases Tuck Nuisance’s lyrical dexterity, knack for story telling and solid beat selection, plus he can hold his own on a full-length project with just less than a handful of features.

The first track “I Know This Kid” introduces audiences to Nuisance’s world. He details his childhood in a very distinct way, using his experiences alongside other characters that had an impact on him as a child. Lines like He was forced to leave his life behind with everyone he knew/didn’t expect to move to Colorado, out of the blue/That’s where he wa sborn and he had no other choice and yeah that kid was me, I was so pissed and annoyed” underpin his frustrations and eventual growth to accept what he can’t change. This leads into the energetic “Two,” which is a bravado-driven track with Nuisance flexing his verbal muscles on the detractors. On “No Limit,” Nuisance embodies the spirit of a young man on a mission. He shows how he overcomes the odds with a resilient mindset and reminds us that his drive is limitless. “Never Coming Down” is an inspirational track that features Dizzy Wright. Bolstered by a cinematic soundscape, the emcees step into the podium with fiery raps about achieving one’s goals and pushing through the white noise. Nuisnace goes for the jugular with lines like “Burning, splurging, cognaq, Bourbon, drinking out the bottle, give a fuck what your concern is/don’t need no chaser, not the type to chase shit/ Would only chase a bag, give a fuck about a bitch” followed by Dizzy Wright’s unapologetic bars“You gotta really want this shit to make you try to come for the king/I’ve been giving out game, ’ve been giving out wolf tickets/Shooting short content, tell em that Rook did it.” This is followed by the bass-heavy “Hooptie,” a track that is tailor-made for the car speakers and perfect for that breezy afternoon drive around town.

The fun continues with the punchy track “Lateral,” featuring Majik Status, who brings an expressive touch to the plucky bass-driven track. Here, both emcees effortlessly trade bars. The tracks “Real Love” and “So Wrong” are vastly distinct, with the former having a modern bouncy trap vibe while the latter is a dark breakbeat-laden track with cinematic textures. Never one to stick to one trick, Tuck explores themes of love, betrayal and emotional pain from his perspective. Next is “No Sneak Dissin’,” the string sample at the start is quite edgy, but the track flips into a bass-heavy banger that is underpinned by no-holds-barred raps from the rapper and it’s anchored by a pitched-down vocal hook. This is followed by “FYTB” featuring Kendall P, and the emcees share their opinions on detractors and the never-ending race to secure the bag. The final track “Don’t Change” comprises lush guitar licks and mellow but punchy drum grooves, which serve as the perfect backdrop for Nuisance’s heartfelt stories. He reflects on his trauma, past and his growth through it all.

Other notable tracks include the laidback vocal sample-laden “Ride Or Die”, the scenic story-driven “By My Side” and the hard-hitting “Sleepin’ In Bed.” The tracks cover a range of topics from unconditional love to street savviness and excellent storytelling that drops listeners right in the middle of the action.
