6ixth Element and Wax100- “None Other Than”

Indie rapper/producer 6ixth Element presents his new release  “None Other Than” with much gusto. The track produced by Wax100 has a Preem-esque feel and it’s equipped with short cinematic brass stab samples, punchy boom-bap drums and excellent vocal scratches in the chorus section. On the other hand, 6ixth Element proceeds with hard-hitting bars reminding us of his deep foundation of the culture using engaging rhyme schemes.

 

deathbypeanuts x Noraa – “Ask Me Tomorrow”.

 

Eclectic producer and multi-instrumentalist who goes by the moniker deathbypeanuts returns with his new single “Ask Me Tomorrow” featuring singer Noraa. The mellow jazz/R&B infused tune is a reflective ballad that dives into blossoming love and rising emotions between two individuals.

 

 

 

Jeristotle – “That’s Just How We Roll”

Jeristotle reminds us of his movements in “That’s Just How We Roll”, an anthemic and uplifting tune implores us to stay the course and never shake in the face of detraction and external pressures.

 

JAN3T – “Axis”

 

Singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist JAN3T thrilled us with her latest “Axis”. The track is dynamic and thought-provoking, blends live instrumentation and electronic elements with rich expressive vocal performances.

 

 

Chris Cachia – “Good and Evil”

Chris Cachia separates “Good and Evil” in his latest effort. The hard-hitting track is dark, cinematic and underpinned by Chris’ commanding flow and edgy rhymes that keep audiences locked in from start to finish. “Good and Evil,” is lifted from Cachia’s latest EP, The 27th Letter.

 

 

Kil Rikin x Jah Freedom – “Golden”

Kil Ripkin and producer Jah Freedom take us back to the “Golden” era in this tribute track. The production is punchy and fits Kil’s heartfelt lyrics that pay respect to the foundation.

 

 

Joaquin the Glowliners – “No Time Like Now”

San Antonio, TX Chicano soul group Joaquin the Glowliners enter our playlist with their newest track “No Time Like Now“. The nostalgia-inducing piece has a rich soundscape comprising lush guitar licks, prevalent bassline-driven rhythms and soul-stirring melodic runs tipped with heartfelt songwriting. Joaquin and The Glowliners echoes the doo-wop era with three-part harmonies rounded out by vocalist Amanda Joy Urdiales and Sarah Rocha-Barz alongside Joaquin Muerte. The full band features Felipe Iruegas on guitar, Luis Gonzalez on bass, Jacob “Jknodic” Benavides on drums and Chris “Kra” Malacara on Keys.

Oakland-based artist S.Crow and Los Angeles-based Dane Diamond recruit Atari Lo for this poignant tune titled “Family Affair”. Bolstered by punchy drum grooves and dark cinematic strings, the trio share their perspective on a range of topics inspired by life events and experiences.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kjahn – “Purple Hearts” featuring Khris P

Rising Seattle-based rapper Kjahn drops his new single “Purple Hearts”, a smooth R&B-infused track produced by DjQj. Here, he teams up with Khris P and together they remind audiences of their antecedents.

 

 

 

Barbie Bandz – “Got It on Me” feat. Styles P

Barbie Bandz came through with this street anthem “Got It on Me” featuring legendary NY rapper Styles P. The result is a seamless fusion of styles (No pun intended) with relatable lyrics that center on loyalty and self-reliance.

 

 

 

 

Telica x J Akasha – “Vibe Extending”

Telica and J Akasha bring us some refreshing tune titled “Vibe Extending”. The track is a smooth blend of neo-soul/Jazz and hip-hop with a modern twist underpinned by smooth adulation-filled raps. “Vibe Extending” is the second single release of Telica’s upcoming album Delicatessen.

Here, JSWISS delivers his signature flow peppered with engaging reflective thoughts that everyone can relate to.

 

 

 

 

Trizz x Mike Summers – “Cream” (feat. Blu)

Trizz and MIKE SUMMERS team up with fellow West Coast rapper Blu for “Cream“. The latest single continues the duo’s slew of releases and helps set the tone with its reflective tone and aspirational message that is punctuated by Trizz’s expressive flow and Blu’s authoritative performance. Overall, this is the perfect summer anthem for all the go-getters out there. “Cream” is the 3rd single from the duo’s upcoming album titled Cavi En Cursive, to be released very soon.
