Badfellas x Bobby J From Rockaway – “Paint Houses”

 

Badfellas team up with Bobby J From Rockaway for the dark single “Paint Houses.” The track produced by Max Perry makes use of a familiar sample and flips it in a very inventive style which sees The Truth, Frank B, and Bobby J delivering vivid lyrics with impassioned flows. The track is the duo’s fifth release from their Badfellas project and the video was shot by CCMG Productions/Sheesher Films.

The title is inspired by Charles Brandt’s book “I Heard You Paint Houses” which was the basis for Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman film.

Toronto and NY collide as Ethan Torrance and YellowTapee team up for a lyric-dense collaboration titled “Six Feet Below.” Bolstered by a moody cinematic backdrop provided by Sparkwoods, the rappers bring out the proverbial verbal guns to knock out the opposition.

Lucky Tatt & Endemic Emerald – “Answer To A Question”

Brooklyn Emcee Lucky Tatt teams up with producer Endemic Emerald for a hard-hitting yet thought-provoking track titled “Answer To A Question.” Lucky Tatt makes good use of Emerald’s ominous backdrop to drop some gems concerning the elevation of his community. He reminds us that finding solutions is the best bet as opposed to complaining or wallowing in our sorrows.

Emerging Bolton,UK rapper/producer Superlative caught our attention with his new release titled “Our Vibe.” The track is built on a dark moody backdrop which fits the rapper’s impassioned flow and engaging lyrics. He displays a wide variety of styles as he switches up his cadence with ease while peppering it with vivid lyrics. “Our Vibe” is the rapper’s third single taken from his new EP  Can I Be Excused.

Tommy Graves – “Idknow”

Tommy Graves‘s “Idknow” is a carefree, somber track that captures his nonchalant style. He makes use of a reflective and chilled backdrop provided by Kenton Edward to share off-the-cuff stories of his life and then some. The visuals shot by Teagan Hakl, captures Graves just hanging out with his homies and his wiener dog. It makes use of several performance shots and random clips of the rapper just doing what he knows best.

Indie rapper ORA77K‘s single “SH0CK VALUE.” is an off-kilter experimental song that has weird sound designs and his nonconformist flow which sometimes goes offbeat. It sure doesn’t go for the usual and it’s quite engaging. The song title was inspired by producer Timbaland‘s iconic album Shock Value. This is the 3rd song taken from ORA77K’s new album C0DESW1TCH.
