We are still dedicated to showcasing the best tracks/videos from the underground by searching far and wide in order to bring you our weekly list. It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the  Top 10 Submissions. Now that is what we call dedication, so sit back relax and get familiar with these acts.

Cam Be – 7

The first song on this week’s list comes courtesy of multi-talented producer/DJ/ film director Cam Be. The track in question is titled “7” and features emcee Add-2  and Natalie Oliveri. With extra production from Slot-A, “7” serves as a brilliant soulful opener and a solid introduction for new fans. Using a mellow piano sample, snappy drums with extra acoustic elements to boot, “7” sets the tone for a very inward and reflective journey.

 

 

Jung Mergs – Low Tones.

“Low Tones” is the second track that caught our ears and its courtesy of emcee Jung Mergs. Using a mellow, reflective soundscape, the rapper takes time to express the ranging emotions of determination, transformation, realisation of your powers and eventually, the dismantling of the mental simulation. Pretty heavy and personal stuff if you asked me.

 

 

 

CeeJ – 100 Blessings

Rising rapper CeeJ gets his thoughts across over a vibrant trap backdrop on his new track “100 Blessings”. He shares his frustrations, hopes and of course all his blessings which he is not trying to overlook. He keeps it a buck with his Christian views on the track without sounding preachy or judgmental as well.

Raw Soul – Morning Sun.

Up and coming rapper Raw Soul shares a positive outlook and mindset for everyone trying to get ahead in life on his new song “Morning Sun”. Using a laid back, nostalgic backdrop, the rapper dedicates the song to the early risers. He further explains “… aim is to spread some positive vibes while recognizing some of life’s challenges, and that with each day the sun rises, we have a chance at a new beginning.”

 

 

Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez – Falcon.

New York-based soul/R&B artist Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez helps mellow things out with her heartwarming single titled “Falcon”. Her expressive vocals is undeniable and engaging from start to finish and serves as a perfect introduction to new fans.

 

DK – Blooming Tree.

 

Athens, GA. based rapper DK drops a very reflective record titled “Blooming Tree” which sees him dwell on a very personal matter. As an expecting father, he has hopes and dreams for his baby and takes some time to speak on it over a mellow, neck snapping backdrop.

 

 

Billy Fox – Echo.

Sydney-based indie-electronic artist Billy Fox has just dropped his new single “Echo”. A soulful number that exudes that classic RnB/Soul vibes with its vintage sounding backdrop and alluring vocal performance. The love-laden track sees the singer coming to terms with falling deep in love in a blossoming relationship, he also tries to make sense of it and let it all work out organically.

To celebrate the release, Billy Fox has announced two intimate performances in Melbourne and Sydney. The hometown gig will coincide with a conceptual art exhibition; in line with themes of the song. The enigmatic musician has traversed the country multiple times selling out his own headline shows and supporting the likes of Glass Animals and The Aston Shuffle.

 

 

 

 

Steven A Clark – Did I Hurt U ft. Denzel Curry

Miami artist Steven A. Clark teams up with Denzel Curry on his newest record titled “Did I Hurt You”. The love-laden record is a nice blend of RnB and experimental elements and exudes a heartfelt energy that is both engaging and refreshing. It also throws in some classic rock guitar performance for good measure while Denzel Curry comes through with a solid verse.

 

 

Rita Klara – U & I

Young up and coming artist Rita Klara drops her new single “U & I” with much gusto. She teams up with composer SAGII who crafts a dreamy, off-kilter soundscape for the sultry vocals of Klara. Her energy here is quite engaging as she delivers a solid performance that shows her deeply rooted raw vocal talents and style.

“U & I” is the first track extracted from ‘Fancy Love’, Rita Klara’s first EP.

 

Nissi – Undercover

London-based Nigerian singer, songwriter and musician NISSI shows up with an upbeat banger of a single titled “Undercover”. She teams up with burgeoning UK Afrobeats producer TwoBadGuyz, who provides her with an energetic dancehall backdrop that is both summery and soothing. Nissi, on the other hand, delivers a solid performance with catchy melodies in a sultry manner.

Speaking about how the record came about, Nissi says, “‘Undercover’ really is just a vibe. We recorded it the very first we met. TwoBadGuyz was playing me some draft instrumentals he was working on, and once I heard this one, I literally started freestyling onto it. The song lyrics really talk about the thrill of doing something that isn’t necessarily right, but feels like it is, so you do it anyway. The boisterous production definitely demanded this kind of daring and free songwriting from me”.

 

 

 

BONUS BANGER

VALNTN & Peter Fenn – Mona Lisa (feat. Tray Haggerty).

“Mona Lisa,” is a catchy melodious record that comes courtesy of VALNTN and features PETER FENN who lends vocals and production, while up-and-comer TRAY HAGGERTY raps. This has a very cool summery vibe and it was hard to resist so there you have it, hit the play button and bask in the goodness.
