We are still dedicated to showcasing the best tracks/videos from the underground by searching far and wide in order to bring you our weekly list. It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Therealskitso – “Fatherless Child Remix”

“Fatherless Child Remix” by Therealskitso is a heartfelt personal look on his upbringing. Over a gritty, solemn backdrop, he delivers a raw honest performance as he details his formative years. He unpacks so much here from his stints in the foster care system, suicide attempts and abuse which ultimately lead to him running the streets to care for his siblings.
The track is pretty vivid and inspiration as well.

 

 

 

Dee Wallz – “MOTOWN”

Dee Wallz is back with a smooth joint he calls “MOTOWN”. Backed by a horn-driven nostalgic backdrop, he delivers a solid performance that captures the golden era in its purest form.

 

 

GOOD WTHR – “For Ya Mind”

Hip-hop group GOOD WTHR made up of emcees Pro and Kin make their way on our list with their classic sounding record titled “For Ya Mind”. As students of the game, we hear how they pay respect to the ones that came before them. Backed by a dreamy laid back boom-bap beat the duo bring it back for the true school lovers.

After years of performing in separate groups and sharing the stage with everyone from Snoop Dogg to Lupe Fiasco, Pro and Kin crossed path’s when a mutual friend and bandmate tragically passed away (RIP DJ BP).
The group name was inspired by a poem* written to honor their late friend, and music became a useful outlet to channel their grief and celebrate life. Get the audio on Deezer and Spotify.

Shadi G – “This love”

Swedish songwriter, producer, and singer Shadi G deliver a solid piece titled “This love”. Armed with a striking vocal tone, the melodies she creates blends her Persian origin with R&B and hip-hop in an effortless manner. “This love” is a prime example of her versatility and unique style.

In 2017 she started her own record label, Goldamin Records, from which her second single “Where We Go”, was released. And now, after more than one year waiting, Shadi finally releases “This Love” is the first song to be released through her own label. Get the single on Spotify

 

 

 

BiiiG STRETCH – “NO BRAIN”

BiiiG STRETCH remixes a DOOM classic (from Madvillainy) and flips it on new song he calls “NO BRAIN”. He keeps it simple too with sparse drum breaks and ominous strings to keep things interesting.

 

 

 

 

Alex Dutty x Ezra – “Searching”

Soul singer Ezra teams up with London’s mixtape legend Alex Dutty on this new neo soul rap style motive soundscape filled with Ezra’s soulful notations alongside Alex’s consciously raw but content-rich vocals throughout the verses. Together Ezra and Dutty create something clearly needed but missing from today’s music. get it on Apple Music and Deezer.

 

 

 

Sarob – “Scales”

 

Sarob explores his inner self on his new piece titled “Scales”. Over a laid back, cinematic backdrop, produced by Blueprint, he details his thoughts on finding himself the right art to push while trying to maintain the integrity behind the creative process. He further explains that he fears to lose himself in order to find mainstream success.

Mindmassage – “Indecisive”

 

Talented singer/songwriter MindMassage brings a very soothing and sultry vibe on new single “Indecisive”. Using a lush, introspective and groovy backdrop, he delivers a melodic piece that everyone can relate to as he dives into the ups and downs of love.

T.F x Trizz x Bale – “Ike & Tina”

Its L.A over everything as T.F, Trizz & Bale forms a deadly alliance on this gritty cut titled “Ike & Tina”. The ominous backdrop laced by Arza serves as the perfect canvas for the emcees to deliver hard-hitting, off-the-cuff rhymes. The video is shot by Castro of NewHighFilmz.
“Ike & Tina” is the sophomore single taken from the upcoming collaboration project We Jus Be Off WERK by all Los Angeles artists T.F, Trizz, Bale, Dreebo & Y2, which is set to drop in November 2019.

Khaeci Mario x Krisse Magic x Mitch Angelo – “Four Letters”

Rising Nigerian singer Khaeci Mario makes his debut on our weekly list with a brilliant effort titled “Four Letters”.  The mellow voiced singer dives into a relationship approaching its last days over an ethereal soundscape provided by producer Krisse Magic. Along for the ride is emcee Mitch Angelo who details his own experiences.  Mario further adds that the song comes from a place of agonizing reflection on better and happier times in a wrecked relationship.
