It’s a tough job as we sift through a ton of high-quality tracks just to settle for just 5 so we switched it up so now we curating the Top 10 Submissions. Now that is what we call dedication, so sit back relax and get familiar with these acts.

Joe Roc – “No Chorus”.

Mamaroneck, NY. raised emcee Joe Roc makes his debut on our list with a no holds barred performance on the song “No Chorus”. Backed by a dark, ominous backdrop, Roc comes through with solid flows and vivid lyrics to match. The track displays the skill of a lyricist who stays on his job and refuses to blend with the crowd and opts to stand out.

Joe Roc continues to collaborate with other artists on the label such as Mack Swayze and Tro Gawd. His other single “SHMOKE” can be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer.

 

JOESTONE x Awon – “Call It A Day”

Norwegian drum and bass-duo JOESTONE team up with emcee Awon on their first single “Call It A Day”. The soulful cut sees Awon detailing his trials, tribulations while counting his blessings on all fronts. This is something everyone can relate to on all levels as it exudes a high degree of sincerity and raw honesty from start to finish. Get it on Deezer, Apple Music.

“Call It A Day” is taken from JOESTONE’s upcoming debut project. The duo is made up of brothers Markus  and Daniel Gundersen from Skien

Jive Miguel x Jonathan – “Main Thing”

Producer Jive Miguel (Kelly FitzGerald) and singer Jonathan (Jonathan Grimes) team up for a heartwarming r&b jam titled “Main Thing”. The pair tap into the spirit of classic r&b and merge it with modern elements (from trap/hip-hop) and the result is pretty solid from start to finish. Hit the play button and get familiar. Previous single “Down,” and “Main Thing” are the first releases from the pair, with promises of many more to come.

MarcAndre – “Dead”

NY based act MarcAndre gets on his Halloween pimpin persona on “Dead”. Backed by a bouncy and groovy backdrop, he delivers a smooth easy to vibe to performance with a catchy hook to match.
The track also gets a boost as it has started the #DeadChallenge where users post a video featuring ‘Dead’ while wearing a Halloween costume. In these videos, creators are seen dancing / being creative until the hook comes and “dead” begins to repeat. At this point, the person will cross their arms and fall backward out of frame. Listen and be sure to submit your #DeadChallenge videos! One lucky fan will be chosen and sent merch along with a signed photo from MarcAndre himself.

 

 

Haquin – “Rêver” ft. Sir Bishop

Leeds, Uk based producer Haquin teams up with Atlanta-based emcee Sir Bishop for a collaborative single titled “Rêver”. The track has a smooth but ominous vibe that fits Sir Bishop’s thought-provoking lyrics that dwell on life, being true to oneself and life as a whole. “Rêver” is taken from a 4-track EP that combines Haquin’s multi-layered & organic beats with a number of vocalists, starting with the rhymes of Atlantan rapper, Sir Bishop (known from his Feverkin and Koresma collabs). Krept & Konan x WizKid – “G Love”

Krept & Konan link up with WizKid for the video of “G Love”. The previously released track has a mellow, reflective mood and draws from the mix of Uk rap, afro-pop with some island vibes. The video is pretty solid and captures the luxurious lifestyle the trio has been able to build for themselves with their careers. Produced by P2J, “G-Love” is the second official single to be lifted from Krept & Konan’s highly anticipated forthcoming album Revenge Is Sweet.

 

 

KIALLA – “Rusty Toys”

 

Experimental hip-hop duo KIALLA bursts through the list with their off-kilter single titled “Rusty Toys”. Armed with a unique flow and style, they take time to reflect on how the proverbial American Dream can sometimes feel like a nightmare. Backed by a dark, hard-hitting beat they draw the listener deep into the rabbit hole where things are never what they seem. The duo had this to say about the meaning behind the song, “Do take a page out of this lesson plan and don’t wait until retirement age to find some happiness.”

 

 

iMAGiNARY OTHER – “THE (Hawaiian Button Up)” [feat. Chuuwee].

iMAGiNARY OTHER team up with Chuuwee in his new single “THE (Hawaiian Button Up)” taken from their upcoming album Love, Beaches & Planes. The single is pretty chilled and has a very summery vibe with its calm textures and smooth groove. Chuuwee is in his element here as he delivers a solid performance as expected. The video has a very psychedelic feel and augments the song with its DIY, retro vibe.
Following up from his collaborative project “The Tip Of A Tab” with Chuuwee under their group name iMAGiNARY FRiENDS, this will be OTHER’s first instrumental album with additions from a few Sacramento emcees.

 

 

Church & AP – “Hello Hello”

NZ hip-hop duo, Church & AP go for gold on their new release “Hello Hello”. Its a very gritty and unapologetic experimental rap track that is built off a banging distorted synth-driven beat and fiery raps. Hit the play button and get familiar.
