Theo Blue is very timely with this video. With the recent killing of Ahmaud Arbery, this video and the song speaks to the pain of the black community in America and the growing pains therein. ‘The Same’ refreshes our memories of recent events and Theo Blue goes on to say that:

“We made this in honour of Ahmaud Arbery and all lives forgotten and remembered at the hands of injustice.”

In watching the video, the notable victims of police brutality are shown so their faces can be remembered and for all to be reminded that justice was not served in those situations. Even though there isn’t much going on in the video, a lot is been expressed regardless and that makes it a great watch. Theo Blue continues;

” ‘The Same’ is the brainchild of the #TheHeyCampaign. #TheHeyCampaign is a movement devoted to inspiring all people to reclaim their beloved humanity. May this video provide your mind and soul with useful tools for your next step towards freedom.”
