Hip-hop artist TheloniousTheoLove is a Houston native who is signed to Jurnt Entertainment and recently put out a new project titled ‘The Book of Thelonious’. This new single titled “CANT CONQUER ME ” is taken from the aforementioned LP and sees Love collaborating with vocalist Midas Well who provides a soul-laden chorus on the track. The song is an uplifting track that dwells on self-discovery and worth as he encourages the listener not to give up or fold under external pressure. The song also examines topics ranging from the criminal justice system to misrepresentation in the media, family values and everyday struggles faced by people of color.

“The Book of Thelonious” outlines Theo’s personal story of life’s trials and tribulations, and how he graduated into the next chapter of his life. “I was struggling with social issues, the political climate, maintaining relationships with people, addiction, and the fear of letting go,” the rapper says. For the artist, no topic is too big to tackle, and the songs are as straightforward as he is. Lyrics include lines like: “Border Patrol got kids in cages, treated like dogs, it’s really racist, signed by a man, an American gangster.” Love explains, “I didn’t intend on this. I just started writing. I stopped trying to shape it and let it build. I’d rather keep it authentic. I know someone out there will see me and relate.”
