Welcome to TWIB’s Weekly Top 10 Videos. This is a segment where we will be looking at some exceptional visuals from various acts from around the globe. The music video format has been around for decades and through the 90s and 2000s, it has taken flight from multi-million budget music videos, to mid to low-budget videos with exceptional features. In this section, we will not discriminate but rather highlight some of the creative visuals that pop up on our radar.
Again, we promise to bring you the best from high to low budget, to animated to DIY and first and foremost, the most creative visuals we can source.

Dillon & Batsauce – “Ready on the Left” (feat. Kool Keith)
Dillon & Batsauce recently put out their 5th project What Have We Done but it won’t be fair not to share the video for their song “Ready on the Left” featuring Kool Keith. The mid-tempo cinematic track exudes urgency while the vivid lyrical display from both emcees keeps audiences locked in. The visual on the other hand uses old product placement ads for the classic Chevrolet Bonaventure model.
Danced Til Midnight – “Gravitate”
Danced Til Midnight is the brainchild of Essex-based DJ, producer and musician Andy Anderson whose blend of funk, dance, R&B and disco is unparalleled. His latest release “Gravitate” is a spirited funk-soul fest ripe with lush guitar licks, punchy bass-driven rhythms and sultry melodic runs that entice audiences to dance away their sorrows. The accompanying visuals video, shot in the crypt of St George’s Church in London’s West End brings the song to life with its energetic choreographed moves and cinematic aesthetics.
Sandy Hawkins – “Sunday”.
Echo Park, Los Angeles-based duo Sandy Hawkins tap into the 90s with their latest release “Sunday”. The summer love ballad samples the classic single from 90s band Sugar Ray and flips it into a modern jam that bridges the old and the new. Over the rich guitar licks, warm melodic hums and groovy drums, the artists share a tale of blossoming love and the fuzzy feeling of finding that one true love. The visual uses a mix of performance shots with a nod to the 90s with its motifs and set pieces.
Young T & Bugsey – “SOCA”
Nottingham rap duo Young T & Bugsey continue their slew of releases with the latest being “SOCA”, a mid-tempo genre-bending tune ripe with a prevalent flute and punchy sparse. Here, the duo deliver the goods with their playful rhymes and engaging cadences that blend afro-fusion with a touch of dancehall and Calypso-inspired elements. The visuals capture the further adventures of the duo as they lounge in an exotic location with a plethora of voluptuous ladies.
vyle. – “NONTEPID” feat. Beans of Anti-Pop Consortium
Multi-faceted artist Vyle teams up with Beans (of Anti-Pop Consortium) for this new track “NONTEPID”, a hard-hitting and thought-provoking track that explores the current state of affairs with a dark gloomy outlook. The production is off-kilter and dynamic which is perfect for Beans’ stream-of-consciousness flow and layered lyricism. The accompanying visualizer uses subtle motifs and dark set pieces to bring the poignant lyrics to the forefront.
Saga – “All Praises Due”
Brooklyn emcee/producer Saga is back in business with his new single “All Praises Due”. The self-produced track is a poignant piece that explores his faith and morals in an unjust and unforgiving world. Backed by brooding and cinematic soundscapes, Saga shows audiences what it takes to be a better man by doing the right thing and standing on business. The song comes with a fitting visual that mixes performance shots with cityscapes and motifs that bring Saga’s thoughtful lyrics to life. The song is lifted from Saga’s forthcoming project Black Label Saga Vol. 2 which will be released on August 2nd).
Pataka Boys – “Black Sabbath”
Pataka Boys is the new trio in town and is the brainchild of UK rap veterans PAV4N, Sonnyjim and emerging Punjab producer Kartik who are venturing into a new phase with their latest full-length project Thugs From Amritsar, out now on Azadi Records. The latest video “Black Sabbath” is a homage to the heavy metal group of the same name hailing from Sonnyjim’s UK hometown of Birmingham, and is a lyric-dense piece ripe with a classic sample flip that hip-hop heads would love. The visuals were shot on location in India and captured the raw and authentic energy of their stomping grounds.
