Since I heard Flying Lotus start saying words about The Underachievers – they’ve signed to FlyLo’s label Brainfeeder – I’d been checking several times a week waiting for Indigoism to drop. It was real dope when I came back from working out of town this weekend to find it was finally here. After so much hype it would have been easy for this to be a let down, but UA deliver straight up. The duo come in with energetic lyrics and delivery with a wide range of producers and no guests (for once); this is a good introduction to one of the latest NY outputs representing that 90s Hip Hop movement.
