Singer-songwriter Tasha Angela thrills us with this heartwarming gem “Up To You” taken from her recently released debut EP Hidden Gems. The 5 track body of work showcases the Toronto based singer’s penchant for penning soul-gripping tunes laced with unfiltered and honest lyrics. The Rich Kidd produced “Up To You” for instance exudes the vintage R&B vibes with its lush, alluring textures only matched by Angela’s angelic (no pun intended) vocal performance. She definitely brings back that early 00s neo-soul spirit and blends it with a modern-day touch to deliver a powerful record.
The majority of the EP is produced and arranged by Sam “Avenue” Willows (Carousel, Dragonette, Tokyo Police Club) and mixed by Howie Beck (Feist, Dragonette, Charlotte Day Wilson). his first project offers listeners a glimpse into Tasha’s creative sphere, as music serves as an outlet for healing, self- improvement, and expression that she hopes will resonate with fans. Tasha Angela is a Honey Jam 2017 alumni and has performed on a few other stages in Toronto including showcases with Talent Nation and with Second Nature Group.
