Emerging northeastern Ohio-raised rapper SR (Storm Rider) Will takes us above the clouds with his new single “Way Up”. The hard-hitting record is an aspirational and motivational anthem for everyone out there and sees SR Will teaming up with fellow emcee Escapade to give us some important lessons on staying focused on our goals. The production is cinematic and somewhat moody while the thick bass and punchy drums help bring that energetic pulse to the forefront. SR sets it off with an impassioned flow and spirit-lifting lyrics like “I break through the threshold, my saviour is in me/Now I’m just a vessel like Milli Vanilli” while Escapade throws his weight with his laidback cadence.
SR Will came on the scene in 2019 and has recorded over a dozen singles that see him infusing his Black gospel roots into his songwriting alongside neo-soul and trap.
