Independent Eugene, OR hip-hop act Sammy Warm Hands teams up with veteran emcee Casual (Hieroglyphics) for a super lyrical demonstration in the form of the single “Redefine The Flow Part 2.” Bolstered by Sammy’s horn-laden backdrop, the duo display a high level of lyricism utilizing different types of flows, cadences laced with some insightful gems. No stone is left unturned as we are thrown into the mix starting with Sammy’s wild and off-the-cuff performance followed by Casual’s laidback flow that displays his elder statesman status.

The video was filmed in Eugene and Oakland respectively and captures the true essence of live performances by the duo who first linked up back in 2015 for the first version of “Redefine The Flow Part 2.” Initially the video was planned to happen in 2020 but due to the pandemic and wildfires, they had to change plans. The video was directed and edited by Sammy himself with extra visual effects by Taylor Morden of Pop Motion Pictures.

“Redefine The Flow Pt. 2” appears on Sammy Warm Hands’ Figures Of Speech double-album which is available in limited CD format and digital via Bandcamp (and streaming platforms as well). In addition to Casual, the project features an amazing array of emcees including Gift Of Gab, Supastition, Blueprint, Illogic, and Carnage The Executioner, and was mostly self-produced.
