The German producer extraordinaire is back at us again. This is Rice Master Yen himself and he comes all guns blazing with his 9 track album Dialate. I must say that his eclectic-meets-off-kilter style is unique, and you can’t fault his groove either. I’m not certain who it is he employs on the tracks to spit it raw – which came out just perfect – and maybe its the tactic but the short length makes you want to play the whole compilation as many times as possible. Another unique trait to Rice Master Yen is how short he keeps the tracks; on this album the longest doesn’t even hit the two-and-a-half minute mark. Of the 9 tracks, 3 are just beats (intro, outro and a skit) so you get 5 tracks of short verses on sick beats. I have said too much, you only need hit the play button to understand what I’m saying.
