Since Joell Ortiz was the first to respond to Kendrick Lamar, the next few rappers who decided to take up the challenge are B.oB, Lupe Fiasco & Cassidy amongst others  (listen to them after the jump). I’ll keep updating this post so you can check back on who came afterwards. Mind you, if you recall how hiphop came up: Rappers took it to other rappers and challenged their penmanship. Kendrick is worth commending for at least bringing the Braggadocio back.

UPDATE (08/16): Papoose, Grafh, Chris Rivers (Big Pun’s son), J.R. Writer, Ransom, Sosa, and The Madd Rapper all decided to go in on ‘Control’. Although Ransom claims that his freestyle is not a response, The Madd Rapper decides to take Kendrick’s side and disses a number of those who took shots at K.Dot. You gotta listen to it to see who he’s firing back at.

UPDATE (08/19): Congratulating Joell for taking the first response, Joe Budden sat on the sidelines. After initally saying he wasn’t going to respond, he finally lets one off. I think you guys should pay attention to what he says. Another person who responded was Uncle Murda — who doesn’t blame Kendrick for saying that KONY line, but addresses A$AP Rocky, and claims that he snatched the crown from Fabolous.

Big Sean explains to Vibe how it all went down, and the thought of changing his verse after he heard Kendrick’s:

Big Sean – “I started the song, I laid my verse first. I sent it to Kendrick Lamar and Jay Elec too. And then Kendrick sent that verse back… So when I heard it I was kind of like cracking up. When I heard that verse I was like, ‘Man I’m not about to go back and change my verse — that’s cheating.” He also adds, “That ain’t the way of an O.G. That ain’t how G’s move. I wanted to that for the culture of hip-hop as opposed to myself,” he said. “This is the most exciting rap song to drop this year, period.”
