Phoenix Arizona-based rapper Ramond teams up with Ray Wimley for this reflective and insightful record titled “Woke”. The track has a mellow and soulful vibe with head-nodding drums and a relaxing texture to match but the icing on the cake is the message being passed by Ramond who delivers his verses with his signature laidback drawl. He reminds us to always stay alert and be aware of the things happening around us and within ourselves as well and asserts it with the lines “Money don’t mean nothing if your mental is not evolving“. Ray Wimley also adds his 2 cents to the track and leaves listeners with some gems to grow on.
