The multifaceted Tribe front man said in a recent interview his latest projects include collaborations with D’Angelo and Kendrink Lamar.Tip told Giant Step about his latest works in a recent interview. It turns out he and former Soulquarian  band mate, D’Angelo, are working together again. Also, up-and-comer Kendrick Lamar and R&B singer, Ledisi, received some funk from the Abstract.

“I’m basically doing a lot of production right now and that’s going really well. I’m about to start my new album in the latter part of the summer and it should be out next year, so I’m excited about that. I’ve been excited about music in general, so it’s really good. I’m making music for other people and myself: Kendrick Lamar, D’Angelo, [and] Ledisi.”

Along with a new solo album, Tip is expected to contribute to Cruel Summer, a collaboration album for Kanye’s  G.O.O.D. Music, a label he recently signed to.
