Chicago rapper PozLyrix dishes out a funky, often-hilarious new single, “Water for Horses,” that takes aim at all the thirsty and misguided artists out there who may need to rethink their strategy (and then some).

At least, that much is evident when he kicks rhymes like, “Need help with your movement? Try some Raisin Bran/ Ain’t helpin’ you with sh*t, like nurses with bed pans.” Quotables like these pop up throughout the head-nodding track, which grooves along thanks to the slick production of fellow Windy City artist, Rediculus. He supplies a rich bass and organ-led instrumental for PozLyrix’s deft verbal acrobatics.

In addition to working on loose cuts like “Water for Horses,” PozLyrix has contributed other material to the upcoming compilation from his Seven Oddities Records crew. The project, Out for Blood Vol. 3, is due out on Jan. 22 with a limited CD release of 100 copies, all of which will be autographed by every member of the Chicago-based group.
