“Kingz” is the debut single from NY-based emcees Pearl Gates and Syll who team up for their upcoming collaborative album Play This 2. “Kingz” has an ominous mellow feel all thanks to the producer Corrado and sees the emcees display their lyrical wares with dense flows laced with witty wordplay, metaphors, and vivid images. Joining them on the track is veteran LA-based emcee Blu who wraps it up with a solid verse as expected.
Play This 2. is a follow up to Gates & Syll’s 2016 EP Play This.
