Multi-talented singer/songwriter Noya Sol is a lady who wears many hats. From composing and producing her own songs and blending different genres in her own unique manner, the Israeli singer has been pushing the envelope and has 3 studio albums under her belt and has performed in different countries across the globe. She is currently working on her fourth album, world of illusions but in the interim, she shares the afrobeat-infused single “Manipulations” which samples Fela Kuti‘s “Water No Get Enemy ” with a modern neo-soul twist. Backed by Fela’s legendary horn riff, Noya takes centre stage with her distinct vocal runs and profound songwriting that tackles real-time issues such as disinformation, fake news and the plethora of manipulations that occur in this day and age. She also highlights the negative effects on the fabric of our social and cultural makeup.

The production is particularly brilliant and the way she mixes the rousing afrobeat elements with neo-soul is quite unique.
