An interesting remix of the transnational album Live! by Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti and drummer Ginger Baker courtesy of Nigerian producer Teck-zilla. What makes this an extra-interesting listen is that it’s an audio documentary too; splicing in snippets of information about the artists and the creation of the album back in 1971. Double up with some knowledge on two musical icons and an appreciation of why their works are such rich sample resources in Hip-Hop.
