Oakland based Egyptian singer not.fay caught our attention with her brand of experimental r&b infused soul style on her new release “Cabernet.” The singer brings to the forefront a mix of sultry melodies layered over a laidback moody downtempo backdrop that also feels like something in the. realm of Lo-fi chill-hop.

It’s somewhat hard to classify her style as it’s obvious she is influenced by a handful of genres and she opts to stay out the box. Get “Cabernet” on Soundcloud.

She has opened for several artists such as Yizzy and Seafoal. Additionally, not.fay was set to open for rapper Bhad Bhabie in the Middle East before the show itself was canceled due to some of the rapper’s statements.
