The LA scene has, for a good few years now, been the hub of some real interesting evolution of hip hop. The avant garde continues with Nocando‘s ‘Never Looked Better’, produced by another of that scene AshTreJinkins. I’ve known about Jinkins for a while, and really like his production for hip hop for vox – he made this beat when he was 17, he says – and Low End Theory host Nocando recites some wavy, fun lyrics, about how a girl on another man’s arm (that’s a huge turn off for me, but each to their own) even though the delivery is kinda menacing. Check it out! His second album, Jimmy The Burnout, is set for release on the 18th March.
