Hackney rapper Nicki Knightz‘s last project was the 8-track album Lonely Girls Hearts Club, and now they are back with the visuals for the single “Step With Me.” The single was released in mid-2023 and set the tone for the rest of the project with its retro-tinged funk-soul vibe and unapologetic lyrics. The Henny Knightzproduced track uses a classic bass-vocal sample that hip-hop heads will recognize and its nostalgic element sure helps showcase Nicki’s versatility in all its glory. Armed with her gruff and no-nonsense flow, she gets straight to the point reminding us of the essence of individuality and integrity with vivid rap schemes. Also joining the fray is JoeJas who taps in with a playful chorus.

The accompanying visual pairs Nicki Knightz and music artist Aura Moreno from Providence, RI who plays her onscreen love interest. The visuals blend performance shots of Knightz in different spots and also with Moreno underscoring their undeniable chemistry. The video is directed by Sudanese filmmaker Maps.
