Producer Nick Andre assembles a classic team up on his newest track as he links up Gift Of Gab (Blackalicious) and Lateef The Truth Speaker, on the rousing and poignant track titled “Turn Back”. Over a percussion-driven soundscape, the duo goes for the jugular with their thought-provoking lyrics in a tag team fashion while Eric Boss comes in with additional vocals for the chorus. It is really a delight hearing seasoned verbal jousters doing what they do best sans label red-tape resulting in an all-out lyric-fest that would keep heads bumping all the way.
Nick Andre also doubles as the co-founder of Slept On Records and has worked with the likes of Bicasso of Living Legends, Zion I and more. The label was formed about a decade ago with Eric aka E da Boss from Myron & E (Stones Throw) and the Pendletons (Bastard Jazz) as an outlet to release music they were making with friends.
Andre also recently co-scored the the full length feature film Chasing Valentine and has had his music featured in the SHOWTIME series THE CHI and the Netflix original series EASY). He is currently working on a series of singles with a different featured guest to be released throughout the second half of 2018 in addition to contributing work to upcoming albums for Gift Of Gab, Lateef The Truth Speaker and Zion I.
