Harvey NewmanMar 18, 2010

I woke up today to hear the sad news that Japanese Hip Hop producer Nujabes had died.  He was involved in a car crash last month, he was only 36 years old.  It was only two days ago i wrote a feature about him.  The news was announced on his label Hydeout‘s official website.

Nujabes is a artist who will never be forgotten, he introduced the world to beautiful music and everyone who heard his music instantly became a fan.

Below is a list of quotes from musicians and fans alike:

“Nujabes, rest in peace, in power, in paradise” – Shing02

“im tremendously sad right now. i used to stay up all night truly inspired, listening to nujabes when i couldn’t sleep. .” – Kuroisoul

“Words cannot describe how you and your music have affected my life.
Thank you, for everything
” – Samir

“rip nujabes. you rekindled my heart back to hip hop” – Jkuma

“R.I.P. Nujabes. His music
will always live on in my personal life. It was the soundtrack of the
human rhythm and soul and thats what Nujabes was to me. Another one gone too soon.

  1. Nujabes, your voice will always be heard through the power of your music. Your body may have passed away, by your soul will live on in the wonderful melodies you have shared with our world. I wish you all the best in the world you now reside in. They said Hip-Hop died, and if that were so, you, among the few, were the ones who revived it. I am sad I never personally got to meet with you or shake your hands, but… Thank You..thank you for everything. Rest in Peace! One Love.

  2. nujabes there are no words to decribe the beautiful beats you have left in this earth.
rest in peace, you were the person that changed my style of music and that i will never forget. You are an extrordinary musician and your music will spread everywhere especially around the people who have listen to the amazing music you have introduced. rest in peace.
