Singer/songwriter Natalie Lindi shares her new single “Purple Shoes” which showcases her distinct and expressive songwriting. Backed by a solemn texture made up of lush pads, and rich guitar plucks, Natalie spins a tale from a third-person perspective imagining what it would look like to see one’s lover with a new person. The lyrics like “I know you’ve ordered hors d’oeuvres/And she’s waiting for the wine /But deep inside your heart/You know that you’re just wasting time/ On a temporary romance/That will not compare to mine” explore the dynamics of loss, sadness and wishful thinking for a love that has sailed away.
