Award-winning R&B/Soul singer-songwriter Nao Yoshioka is currently on her Ever Evolving 10th Anniversary Tour but in the interim, she shares her new single “Wave”. The singer has been slowly building her rep as a niche R&B/soul singer and made history as the first female Japanese crooner to participate in the Capital Jazz Series, performing with Jon Batiste at Sirius XM. In 2010, she reached the final stages of Mcdonald’s 2010 Gospelfest, was named SoulTracks’ 2015 Reader’s Choice Awards “New Artist of the Year”, and also became Grammy Awards Voting Member in 2016.  Nao also made a melodic splash at the Summer Sonic Tokyo in 2015 and has opened for José James at the iconic The Birchmere.

“Wave” is an alluring piece that showcases Nao’s smooth and silky vocals in all their glory. Over a hypnotic drum groove, dreamy textures made up of rich piano riffs and sublime strings, Nao delivers a soul-gripping performance ripe with evocative songwriting that listeners can feel and appreciate.

“Wave” is released through her label, SWEET SOUL RECORDS.

On the heels of her most recent release of her single ‘Tokyo 2020,’ Nao opened up candidly in her newly produced mini-documentary, “Rising After The Fall,” which you can watch below.
