Enter Mutari with this beautifully produced record dedicated to his mother. The title ‘Momma’ says it all and the very soulful and jazzy backing track is the perfect framework for this record. Even he attests to this when he says that:

“A beautifully produced song everyone can jam to! Trumpet, saxophone are just some of the live instruments on the record.”

Mutari is a German born, Toronto based rapper and singer. Beginning as a lead vocalist in a pop-rock band at sixteen, he learned how to command a crowd early on in his career. He went on to form an R&B duo, where he built up an impressive fan base in the city as well as online. After finding local stardom as part of a duo, Mutari decided to become a solo artist. He often finds himself shifting between genres, revolving around hip-hop but expanding into R&B and sometimes even rock. He doesn’t hesitate to spit bars in a tight, cohesive flow before lifting up and displaying a tortured falsetto that can’t help but evoke emotion.

You can stream the song on iTunes, Soundcloud and Deezer. Also hit up Mutari on Instagram and Twitter to strike up a conversation.
