Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-born, Winston-Salem, North Carolina-based artist Monty! and Dante “DZH“ Zaran Henry team up for a new collaboration titled “Long Road.” The track is a blend of reflection, introspection and insight into their respective lives and how events transpired to make them cross paths. The production is cinematic and edgy while the expressive flows and thoughtful lines like
“Long road ahead, I’m on a tightrope
V12 swervin’ like a psycho
Randy Moss with it, I’m just lookin’ for the right throw
If I don’t make it, send out for the rescue”
underscore the theme of friendship, shared struggle and the mental health pressures of black men in the USA.
