Vancouver-raised, Montreal-born singer/songwriter Miranda Joan caught our ears and eyes with her new single “Bada Bing!” which comes with an accompanying visuals. The track sees her working with east coast producer, multi-instrumentalist, and bass extraordinaire CARRTOONS who help craft a soothing and soulful backdrop that blends seamlessly with her rich and commanding vocal runs. The title is a nod to the iconic strip club headquarters in The Sopranos and sees Miranda playfully leaning into her Italian heritage and explores the flirtatious Bada Bing! fireworks momentwhen you meet someone new. Armed with her distinct and honeyed melodic style, Miranda details that explosive soul changing moment when that special someone walks into your life.

The accompanying visuals by Gigi Nettles taps into the Sopranos theme with it’s cinematic set pieces and motifs that pay homage to the classic TV series. We see Miranda embodying the spirit of Tony Soprano in a recreation of the opening sequence of the show and closes out with the final scene that captures Tony’s last look. The whole affair is iconic and does the homage perfectly with expertly arrnaged cut scenes, costumes and overall cinematography.

“Bada Bing!” is taken from Miranda Joan and CARRTOONS collaborative project entitled, Overstimulated.

Currently on tour with The Killers and fresh from performances with Kylie Minogue, Orchestre National de Jazz at Montreal Jazz Festival and with CARRTOONS at MTL Jazz Festival, Miranda has performed on national tours, played sold-out and headline shows at well-known New York venues, provided backing vocals for the likes of Shawn Mendes, Lorde, and Andy Grammar, and joined Sly5thAve at Montréal Jazz Festival with the Orchestre National de Jazz. In 2021 she was selected as one of First Up with RBCxMusic Emerging Artists as she released her debut album ‘Windborne’, the follow up to her 2019 EP “Still”. Both releases received consistent radio airplay in Vancouver and Los Angeles and led to a sync placement on Canadian TV show The Strays.
