Winnipeg, MB, Canada-based rapper Mic North delivers something refreshing in his new release titled “Sacrifice.” The record produced by veteran NY producer/DJ Statik Selektah is a piano-driven, mid-tempo track ripe with that distinct boom-bap bounce with a bit of soul. Mic North is in his element for sure and gives a solid impassioned performance ripe with insight and he also shows us what makes him a go-getter willing to go all out to achieve his goals and dreams.

Mic North (Nigel Pahl ) was born in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Winnipeg has been the Murder Capital of Canada from 1981 to 2012. Mic North started rapping at the age of 14 when his mother Cheryl Pahl bought him a Karaoke machine. His Mother use to think he was crazy rapping in the shower. Mic recorded his first track at the age of 17 with the legendary Buzz mad from the Moonshine Kru. His teenage years were plagued with misguidance and being the only son in a fatherless home led Mic to look for camaraderie elsewhere. Before long, Mic found himself involved with street violence and soon after in a jail cell. After his incarceration, Mic decided he had to change his life for his newborn son and himself. Mic started recording music and got signed to a local record label Heatbag Records in 2011. Mic has worked with such talents as Peter Jackson, Young Noble, Twisted Insane, Goody Grace, Winnipeg Most and more. He has done successful openings for Paul Wall, Lil Scrappy, Freddy Gibbs, Stitches, Riff Raff, Merkules and more.  Mic North has started his own independent label Jet City Records. Mic has also chosen to use his music and videography skills to help youth express themselves through digital media production. In 2016, Mic founded Motivation Art Programs (MAP’s) for youth across Canada and his goal is to help inspire the youth for a better tomorrow.
