Irish singer Mia Yermeche was raised in Bettystown Co and found solace in the R&B genre at an early age. Her official single was released in 2021 and garnered her rave reviews and landed her on top of the Irish iTunes chart. She has since performed at different events ranging from The Academy Dublin to the competition program, ‘The Big Deal.

Her latest single “Waiting on U” is a profound look at the feelings of heartache and desperation after being abandoned by someone close to her. The production makes use of a classic 2 step groove and solemn textures that are underpinned by her uniquely melodic runs that stick in the ear. She pours her all on wax with heartfelt lines like “Why’d you leave me out in the cold/Now I am stranded, no where to go/Kinda helpless without you close/No I can’t take it anymore“.

Overall, the track is quite warm, reflective and relatable in many ways.
