After sharing their Black Elixir Ep some months ago, the soul sisters MELONYX return with the visuals for the previously released single “Melanin Queens.” The uplifting anthemic song is produced by legendary Nottingham-based artist Joe Buhdha, and displays the duo’s positive affirmation of the power they have as black women who have accomplished a lot in their fields.

The visual reinforces the song’s theme and displays a whole lot of melanin by showcasing the beauty of black women from different walks of life. I dig the retro-aesthetics and Afrocentric costumes that blend seamlessly with their set-pieces.
